Healthier Summer Treats

With the hottest summer days approaching, trying to eat refreshing treats that aren't full of refined sugar can be difficult. While, healthier options are readily available at almost every supermarket nowadays, they are also usually twice as expensive.

Here are three quick and easy treats that will please everyone!

Frozen Grapes

1. Grab a bunch or a whole bag, wash and place in a container. 2. Place in freezer until frozen (about 6 hours). These are fun because they are so simple and serve as an easy snack/treat. Kiddos just love them too!

Infused Water

1. Put a variety of fruits and berries in a large pitcher. Then, fill with water. 2. Let the pitcher sit in the refrigerator for an hour or two so that the flavors infuse the water. 3. When ready, pour into a glass with ice and add more fruits to glass for presentation and extra flavor.   Sometimes, plain water just doesn't cut it (especially for the little ones) so instead of sugary juices or soft drinks, opt for infused water. This can also be done with sparkling water if you're needing a little fizz.

DIY Popsicles

Yes, popsicles are super cheap at the supermarket but they are often filled with so much refined sugar, artificial flavors and dyes; and those that are more wholesome, are often way too expensive to constantly buy.   Check out our ebook for 8 delicious and simple recipes!  Coming soon
